Loki - My birthday present to me!
Introduing Loki... He is about 9" tall and has a moveable head. His wings are painted fabric and poseable thanks to wires that are used to support the fabric. I had wanted a purple dragon for quite some time but never made one. Why? I have no idea. So, when I had the idea to do a tutorial for a dragon with a moveable head Loki was born! I'm starting all the text for the tutoial tonight and hope to get it posted in the next couple days. It will cover how to make a foil core shape and the ball joint component. Happy Valentine's Day!

Sally, he's gorgeous ! ! ! love his bigger than average eyes, makes him look sweeter, like a baby. And the earring is a nice touch :)
ReplyDeleteLoki is wonderful Sally! I am glad you have decided to keep him for your self! And you have picked a wonderful dragon to keep! I can't wait to learn more!

Thanks, glad ya'll like him. I wanted him to look happy and "innocent"...ha ha ha. Plus he's purple! The eyes are black marbles, that might give you a gauge for how big he is.

Sally, I am just amazed. I have done some dragons, but nothing like these awesome guys. I am so, so envious. I bet you have a great business going here. I just love Loki.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY SALLY! KIII
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy! I'll be 39 on Thursday. Loki is sitting on my desk smiling...I think...at me. He is a bit mischievious, hence the name. Like Swoop he is also a cookie stealer. Don't know what it is with these darn critters snatching cookies! He like the Almond Joy cookies best.
